Membership We welcome boys in 1st through 5th grade to come and join the fun with the Sheboygan Falls area Cub Scouts. Each fall, adult leaders from Cub Scout Pack 3885 provide an informational talk during our Fall Round-Up. Send an email to Cubmaster jeffb@pack3885.com to learn more about becoming a Scout. Cub Scouting members join the pack and are assigned to a den. The dens are Tigers (first-graders), Wolves (second-graders), Bears (third graders), and Webelos (fourth and fith graders). Each den meets twice a month. Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a Pack meeting under the direction of the Cubmaster and Pack Committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the pack and members of our chartering organization.
In addition to the Den meetings and Pack meeting each month, the Pack participates in several activities, including the following: Parades - Memorial Day in May and Falls Fest in August Food Drive - in October we distribute bags to collect food for the local pantry and collect them one week later Popcorn & Wreath Sales - Our annual fundraiser is selling these items in October with delivery before Thanksgiving in November Winter Camp - Scouts and parents can attend a weekend winter camp at Camp Rokilio near Kiel, WI on beautiful Cedar Lake. We stay in heated cabins! Blue and Gold Banquet - an awards ceremony and dinner where we invite extended family and friends to share in recognizing our scouts Kites and Rockets - the scouts work with den leaders to make kites or rockets and we launch them in September as the start to our scouting season Pinewood Derby - the scouts create a model car from wood blocks with the help of their parents. Then we race them to win trophies! Summer Camp - in July, scouts and parents can attend a 4-day, 3-night camp at Camp Rokilio especially designed for cub scouts contact Webmaster at KristiK@pack3885.com |
